Clark Wood, specialists in Accountancy Practice recruitment, are excited to partner with a well-regarded firm of chartered accountants located on the outskirts of Newport. This progressive firm is actively seeking an experienced Accounts Senior / Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.

Role Overview

As an Accounts Senior, you will play a vital role in the firm, primarily focusing on year-end accounts production and corporation tax compliance. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Liaising directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service.

• Supporting and mentoring junior staff members in their professional development.

• Preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Handling corporation tax computations and returns efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills

• ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist (AAT Qualified or QBE candidates will also be considered).

• Essential experience in a general practice role is required.

• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
