£100,000 to £120,000 | Independent Firm | Leadership & Advisory Focus

Clark Wood is working with a highly regarded independent firm of accountants in Worcestershire, seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Partner to lead and grow their Private Client Tax Services Team.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an ambitious tax professional with strong expertise in trusts, inheritance tax, and agricultural tax matters, looking to play a key role in shaping the firm’s advisory services.

The Role:

  • Lead private client tax advisory projects, particularly focusing on trusts, estates, inheritance tax planning, and agricultural clients.

  • Provide expert tax advice on complex client portfolios, including high-net-worth individuals and family businesses.

  • Oversee the review and sign-off of personal and trust tax returns, ensuring technical excellence.

  • Work on cross-border tax matters, HMRC enquiries, and offshore structures as required.

  • Drive business development, identifying opportunities to expand the firm’s advisory services and increase turnover.

  • Support and mentor senior tax professionals within the firm, fostering team development and leadership.

The Candidate:

  • CTA qualified (STEP qualification desirable).

  • Strong technical knowledge in private client taxation, with particular expertise in trusts, estate planning, and agricultural tax.

  • Proven ability to develop client relationships and provide high-level advisory services.

  • Commercially minded, with experience in business development and revenue growth.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
