Personal Tax Senior

​Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a well-regarded independent firm of accountants in Southampton, who are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their growing team.

The Role:

As a Personal Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs, company directors, business owners, and partnerships.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality compliance services while also assisting with advisory projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns for a varied portfolio of clients.

Handling complex tax compliance matters, including capital gains tax, trusts, and residency issues.

Identifying and assisting with tax planning opportunities.

Liaising with HMRC and handling client queries efficiently.

Supporting junior staff and assisting with their development.

Working closely with senior management and tax partners on advisory projects.

The Candidate:

ATT or CTA qualified (or working towards CTA), or QBE with solid experience in personal tax.

Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice is essential.

Strong technical knowledge and ability to handle complex tax affairs.

Excellent communication and client management skills.

Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office.
