​Clark Wood is delighted to be recruiting for a Personal Tax Senior for a firm of Accountants in either Exeter or Exmouth.

This role offers extensive exposure to preparing personal tax returns for a broad spectrum of clients. It can be either Full Time or Part Time (minimum of 3 days per week), with office options in Exmouth, offering a superb seafront location, or in Exeter, overlooking the historic quayside.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of personal tax returns for landlords, sole traders, partnerships, and company directors.

Compilation of income and expenditure accounts for landlords, sole traders, and partnerships.

Engaging with clients regarding personal tax returns and handling ad-hoc queries.

Identifying potential tax planning opportunities alongside compliance tasks.

Collaborating with HMRC on various matters concerning clients’ personal tax affairs.

This role is ideal for someone currently at an assistant level looking to advance their career by assuming greater responsibilities and handling more complex work, supported by opportunities to enhance technical expertise. It is equally suitable for individuals with significant experience in Personal Tax seeking to continue their professional development and support junior tax staff.

We are seeking candidates with Personal Tax experience who are ready to progress in their careers. Candidates may be ATT part-qualified or qualified, or preparing to pursue the ATT qualification.

Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.
