Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading Cumbrian firm who are actively seeking a Personal Tax Manager to join them in their Workington office and play a key role overseeing the tax department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of client tax affairs, ensuring high-quality service while minimizing tax liabilities across income tax, corporation tax, VAT, capital gains, and inheritance tax.
The firm have an excellent reputation across the West Coast and can offer a competitive salary, hybrid working and an unrivalled performance related bonus circa 15-17% of annual earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on tax compliance and planning.
Stay updated on current tax laws and HMRC guidelines.
Ensure client tax affairs comply with relevant legislation.
Support the Managing Director in achieving the annual business plan.
Key Tasks:
Deliver cost-effective taxation services to clients.
Manage income tax returns and review clients' total tax position.
Prepare tax computations, capital allowance claims, and loss relief.
Advise on personal financial planning and tax strategies.
Conduct pre-year-end tax planning meetings.
Support managers in client tax returns and provide tax estimates.
Assist with client meeting preparation to reduce non-chargeable time.
Collaborate with the MD on work priorities, fee discussions, and appraisals.
Skills:
ATT Qualified
Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment is essential
