Based in Droitwich, this role offers the chance to work with a varied client portfolio, providing high-quality management accounts support while collaborating with Partners and Senior Managers to deliver exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed in-year internal accounts, including multiple layouts such as budget and variance comparatives or visual graphs, with varying frequencies (monthly, quarterly, or biannual).

• Develop supporting working papers to reconcile trial balances (TB) and assist the Statutory Accounts Team.

• Provide additional client deliverables such as budgets, cashflow forecasts, and VAT submission support.

• Collaborate with Partners and Senior Managers to discuss accounts directly with clients and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.

• Support Accounts and Audit teams by reviewing and reconciling client records ahead of Statutory Accounts preparation.

• Offer ad-hoc support, problem-solving, and mentoring to junior team members.

• Identify commercial opportunities to drive business growth.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified/finalist, or qualified by experience.

• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• Excellent numeracy, financial awareness, and attention to detail.

• Proficient in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel.

• Commercially aware with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Full driving license and access to a vehicle.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
