Corporate Tax Director

​Clark Wood is seeking a Corporate Tax Director for a distinguished firm of Accountants based in Bristol. As a specialist in your field, you will oversee a meticulously managed portfolio of clients across diverse industry sectors, including sole-traders, partnerships, and limited companies.

Reporting directly to the Firm's Partners, this role offers the opportunity to take a lead strategic position in portfolio development. You will be responsible for the comprehensive financial management of the portfolio, encompassing recovery rates, billing, debt and WIP management, and delivering advanced technical advice to our clients.

Ensuring an exceptional client experience is paramount in this role. You will lead efforts to mentor and develop your team members, while also providing guidance and support to junior members of the management team with your robust technical expertise.

Key Objectives:

• Collaborate with General Practice (GP) Partners, Directors, and Managers to cultivate a cohesive GP/Tax team.

• Manage business tax advisory and compliance across your client portfolio.

• Review the work of junior staff and managers to uphold quality standards.

• Handle HMRC correspondence, including enquiries, efficiently and effectively.

• Lead client meetings to foster relationships built on trust and confidence in your technical prowess, establishing yourself as the go-to advisor for clients.
