Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a leading regional firm of chartered accountants in Shropshire who are looking to add an Audit & Accounts Senior to their team in Shrewsbury.
Working as an Audit & Accounts Senior, the successful person will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors.
The role will see you leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion on a range of respected and interesting clients in the area, as well as preparation and review of accounts and corporation tax returns.
You will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position. Experience of leading audit assignments is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships
Preparation of management accounts and reports for clients
Skills:
ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
Experience of leading Audit assignments
