Clark Wood is thrilled to partner with a prominent Cumbrian accounting firm that is actively seeking a Senior Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to work either remotely or from the office, catering to your preferences.

Company Overview: Join a modern, cloud-based accountancy practice dedicated to providing exceptional accounting and tax solutions to a rapidly growing client base. With offices located in Carlisle and along the West Coast, this firm is on an exciting trajectory of expansion.

Location: Fully remote or option to work from Carlisle and West Coast offices

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (part-time options available)

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse client portfolio.

• Prepare and review corporate and personal accounts and tax returns.

• Prepare and review VAT returns.

• Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs.

• Handle company secretarial matters.

• Represent the company at corporate events.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Accounting qualification (ideally ACA/ACCA).

• Experience in an accounting practice.

• Familiarity with Xero cloud accounting software.
