​A well-established and growing professional services firm with a strong reputation in the industry. The firm provides a comprehensive range of accountancy, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and high-net-worth individuals.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Senior to join the firm's Basingstoke office.

The successful candidate will take a key role in managing the accounts and bookkeeping team of six, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and compliance work.

The firm also has a team of six tax specialists, providing an integrated service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and reviewing the work of the accounts and bookkeeping team to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns.

  • Assisting with year-end accounts and liaising with the tax team to ensure a seamless service to clients.

  • Mentoring and training junior team members to support their development.

  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.

  • Supporting the senior management team with workflow planning and process improvements.

The Candidate:

ACA/ACCA qualified
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and compliance requirements.
Experience managing or supervising a team.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage (preferred but not essential).
