​​Accounts Senior – Shrewsbury

Our client, a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury, is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join their expanding team.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Senior, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of client annual compliance routines while adhering to firm policies and procedures. Your key duties will involve reviewing financial statements, working papers, and statutory tax returns for a variety of clients within your allocated portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

  • Reviewing client records and preparing draft financial statements, resolving queries directly with clients.

  • Preparing and submitting tax computations and returns in line with statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA Qualified (or part-qualified).

  • Previous experience working within a Chartered Accountancy practice.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and tax compliance.
