We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Senior, you will play a crucial role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting services, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, while also supporting junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review year-end accounts and financial statements for a varied client base.

  • Manage the preparation and submission of tax returns, including corporate and personal tax.

  • Provide bookkeeping support and assist with financial reporting.

  • Liaise with clients to address queries and offer professional advice on accounting matters.

  • Collaborate with team members on projects and contribute to the overall success of the firm.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and deadlines.

  • Mentor and support junior staff members, providing guidance and training as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified (or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in an accountancy practice, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax compliance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
