Accounts Senior

Our client is an established accounting firm based in Derby, who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Senior to join the team and contribute to their continued success.

Financial Reporting and Accounts Preparation:

·       Prepare and review financial statements for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards.

·       Compile accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

·       Handle bookkeeping and the preparation of management accounts.

Tax Compliance and Planning:

·       Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.

·       Assist in the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.

·       Provide tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.

​

Qualifications:

·       ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within an independent accounting firm.

·       Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
