Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

A reputable firm of Chartered Accountants in Bridgwater is actively seeking an Accounts Semi Senior or Accounts Senior to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to advance their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE), with substantial experience working in a chartered accountancy firm.

Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Working Hours: The firm offers a 35-hour work week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare sole trader and partnership accounts from source records.

• Prepare statutory financial statements for limited companies from source records.

• Prepare corporation tax computations and assist with basic tax planning.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns.

• Manage and prepare management accounts.

• Use cloud accounting tools (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to process transactions, prepare and post journals, update ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain client records.

• Train junior staff members and trainees in accountancy practices.

• Undertake additional professional service roles as needed within a busy practice serving diverse clients across various sectors.
