Accountancy practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a forward-thinking independent firm of chartered accountants in Southam who are seeking an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join their team.

The successful candidate will undertake a varied general practice role, preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, as well as associated tax compliance. You will also complete bookkeeping work for clients and prepare VAT returns.

The ideal candidate will have a grounding in general practice work and may be studying towards the AAT qualification of may already be AAT qualified or may have already begun studying towards the ACCA or ACA qualification.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of draft accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
Bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of periodic VAT returns
Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

Skills:

AAT Part Qualified / Qualified or ACCA Students
Practice experience is essential
