​​Accounts Semi Senior – Stafford

Clark Wood is working with a proactive and respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Stafford, known for providing comprehensive accountancy, audit, and taxation services to a diverse range of clients. This role is perfect for candidates with substantial practice experience who are looking to advance their careers within a well-established firm.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will be responsible for delivering key services such as bookkeeping, resolving client and supplier queries, and preparing VAT returns. You will also be tasked with preparing year-end accounts for various clients, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Opportunity Highlights:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.

  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC, ensuring deadlines are met, including compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD).

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to provide support on financial and administrative queries.

  • Preparing statutory accounts for review and submission for Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, and LLPs.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • AAT Qualified, part-qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with relevant experience in a diverse client portfolio.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and excellent attention to detail.
