​Accounts & Tax Manager

£45,000 - £55,000

Clark Wood is actively seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join a well-established regional firm of Chartered Accountants in Abingdon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and organized professional to contribute to the firm’s growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients.

  • Review and complete accounts and tax return preparation

  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns

  • Drive IT and software integration for enhanced efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD), ATED, TRS, and all statutory obligations

  • Review internal procedures to guarantee compliance

  • Manage and develop staff effectively

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-ACCA/ACA qualification or equivalent experience (QBE)

  • Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, Digita, and Excel

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
