Clark Wood, specialist recruiters in public practice, are excited to partner with a dynamic and established firm of accountants in Chester. As the firm continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior or Accounts Manager. This role offers a clear pathway to Senior Management or Director level for the right candidate.

Role Overview

In this position, you will work closely with the Director, managing a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses. Your primary focus will be on the accurate and efficient completion of compliance work, including the preparation and review of statutory accounts and tax returns, with most clients operating below the audit threshold.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a diverse client portfolio, primarily focusing on owner-managed businesses.

  • Ensure the accurate and efficient completion of compliance work for your clients.

  • Prepare and review statutory accounts and tax returns.

  • Collaborate with the Director to drive client satisfaction and business growth.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in Accounts and Tax roles within client-facing environments.

  • Significant exposure to SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
