Location: Aldridge, Walsall

Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Clark Wood, experts in Accountancy Practice recruitment, is currently collaborating with a prestigious and leading independent firm of chartered accountants in Aldridge, North Walsall. This firm is seeking to add an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to their team.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will undertake a varied role, gaining exposure to a wide range of clients from various business sectors. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing accounts and tax compliance work, and leading audit assignments from planning through to completion. The audit component will comprise approximately 50% of the workload.

You will interact directly with clients, supervise junior staff, assist in their development, and play a key role in promoting the firm to both existing and prospective clients.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or in the final stages of their studies, with recent experience in a mixed audit and accounts role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare audit plans to address audit objectives.

Participate actively in audit planning and fraud discussions to identify audit risks and strategies.

Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.

Ensure planned audit work meets audit objectives.

Supervise and develop junior staff members.

Prepare accounts for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.

Skills Required:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified.

Experience in leading audit assignments.
