Position Overview:

They are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Audit Partner to join the leadership team in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the audit practice forward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, expanding the client base, and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm. Key Responsibilities - Leadership and Management:

Provide strategic direction and leadership to the audit practice.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of audit professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.

Client Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored audit solutions.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing proposals and pitching to potential clients.

Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing expectations and delivering exceptional client service.

Audit Delivery:

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements in accordance with professional standards and firm guidelines.

Review and approve audit reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.

Address complex technical issues and provide guidance to the audit team on challenging engagements.

Business Development:

Actively participate in networking events, industry conferences, and other business development activities to enhance the firm’s market presence.

Collaborate with other partners and senior management to develop and implement strategies for growth and client acquisition.

Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including writing articles, presenting at seminars, and engaging in public speaking opportunities.

Financial Performance:

Monitor the financial performance of the audit practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.

Implement measures to optimize efficiency and manage costs while maintaining high-quality service delivery.

Ensure timely billing and collection of fees.

Education:

A recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is required.

An advanced degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Proven track record of managing and delivering large, complex audit engagements.

Extensive experience in business development and client relationship management.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
