Clark Wood, a specialist accountancy practice recruitment consultancy, is excited to partner with a highly regarded independent firm of chartered accountants in Hitchin. This progressive firm is seeking an Audit & Accounts Manager to join their successful and growing team.
As an Audit & Accounts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the firm’s excellent reputation by delivering top-notch client service to premier clients. You will work directly with the Partners and manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the entire audit process from planning through to completion, ensuring appropriate staff levels are deployed for each assignment.
Review year-end accounts prepared by your team, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards before submission to clients.
Maintain high levels of service and client satisfaction while managing client relationships.
Contribute to the daily management and training of staff, including conducting performance reviews to promote continuous development.
Engage in business development activities, including presentations to new and existing clients to secure new business for the firm.
Ideal Candidate
ACA or ACCA qualified, with substantial audit experience from a well-established practice background.
Previous experience in staff management is essential.
A personable and professional demeanor, capable of maintaining strong client relationships.
