Clark Wood, a leading Accountancy Practice recruitment specialist, is partnering with a prestigious and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants to recruit an Accounts & Audit Senior for their Leeds office.
Role Overview:
As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will play a key role in managing and delivering audit assignments from planning through to completion. You’ll oversee audit teams on-site at clients' premises, ensuring a high standard of service. In addition to audit work, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Year-End accounts and handling Corporate Tax computations.
With around 70% of the role focused on audits, this is a fantastic opportunity to specialise in this area while still being involved in broader accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage audit assignments for a variety of clients, ranging from small owner-managed businesses to large corporate groups.
Oversee the full audit process, from planning and execution to completion, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
Prepare statutory accounts, including consolidated accounts when required.
Manage corporation tax compliance tasks.
Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment.
Ideal Candidate:
ACA / ACCA Qualified, or at the final stages of qualification.
Proven experience in leading audit assignments within a variety of sectors.
Strong technical knowledge in audit and accounting, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
