Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Accounts & Audit Director to join the leadership team in Cambridge.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the Accounts & Audit practice forward, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, expanding the client base, and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage a significant portfolio of large, technically complex SMEs and OMBs across various industries.

Oversee end-to-end audit processes, including budgeting and scheduling.

Plan staff resources effectively for client engagements.

Review accounts and other deliverables prepared by Managers and team members.

Provide feedback and support team appraisals.

Manage non-audit corporate clients with complex needs, such as cash flow forecasting and management accounts.

Collaborate closely with the internal tax department on tax computations and corporation tax issues.

Assist partners and directors in ad hoc projects, including corporate finance assignments.

Drive business development activities by nurturing existing clients and targeting new audit and non-audit clients through proactive management and pitching.

Candidate Requirements:

ACA/CA/ACCA qualified.

Responsible Individual (RI) status is advantageous.

Up-to-date technical knowledge in UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs, and Companies Act legislation.
